Christ’s Great Commission exhorts us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19). Saint John of Patmos describes a “great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb” in the final days (Rev. 7:9). How, though, will all these people learn the Word of God?
Zúme joins the great crowd of witnesses in reaching out to people around the world in their own languages. Our resources are already available in 43 different languages, including sign language, with people from 234 countries and territories having accessed those resources. You can see the worldwide activity on our website and follow along in real time. While we haven’t yet reached the goal of availability in the world’s 40 main languages (some “haven’t crossed the finish line” says Chad, a member of our social media team, while a few others “Just under that top 40 . . . were completed first), the ultimate goal is to continue to expand and reach as many people as possible.
If you go to Zúme.Training, click on the “Languages” button in the upper right-hand corner. There, you will see all the languages in which Zúme is currently available. Do you know one of those languages? If so, consider if you might be open to promoting or modeling these tools in the language with which you are familiar, whether French or Mandarin or Arabic. Our social media team is doing great work across multiple platforms and could greatly use members who can communicate with questioners in any of the 40 main languages. People from around the world have, for example, been using Zúme’s new live chat feature and encountered a language barrier as our team tries their best to communicate.

Even if you have no language skills, there are many ways in which you can help get the word out to the world. Did you know that anyone who is part of a church or non-profit has access to Google Ad grants? If you’re not using that resource, you can donate the grants to Zúme at no cost to you and enable us to advertise our resources in many different languages and get them into the hands of people who can use them. In Indonesia, a vast Muslim-majority country full of unreached people groups, Google advertising has led to over 100 people an hour engaging with Zúme. Its impact is enormous, and you can contribute to that simply by donating your unused ad grants.
