Zúme Coaching Can Bring Direction and Hope – Be Both a Coach and a Student!

Tim Ahlen has been working in church multiplication since 2004, but he began to focus his efforts on Zúme once he found our resources during the pandemic lockdown. Tim, who lives in the Dallas area, coached a man in Houston who has since begun churches in Dubai, Jordan, and China, “all from his office in Houston.” Through the connecting power of the internet, Tim has been able to coach people all over the world to multiply disciples.

One man in Nepal reached out to Tim recently on Facebook, asking for help. This man, whom Tim called John to protect his identity, had become a believer the previous year, leading his family to disown him. John said that, for over a year, “I’ve not seen my wife, I’ve not seen my child, and they have all turned their backs on me.” John took this as a sign that God was calling him to full-time ministry, but he had no training, no mentor, no work, no money, and no direction.

Tim encouraged John that he could make money in a secular job and still be dedicated to God full-time. “He was truly grateful,” Tim says “. . . He needed guidance.” Tim continues coaching his Nepali brother and will guide him through the Zúme course, providing a much-needed framework and some simple tools for John to follow his calling as a disciple who makes disciples.

People from all over the world are a part of the Zúme community! If you want to join our ranks, sign up for our free course and learn not just how to use those tools, but how to teach them to others. Tell the world, “I have seen the Lord!” (John 20:18).
